Senior Account Executive, AWS Professional Services - Public Sector

AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. In this role, you will lead strategic business development and own the AWS Professional Services sales motion end to end, engaging and winning new customers for transformative projects involving technology strategy, migration, modernization, data, AI, and generative AI. You'll work with ProServe architects, engagement managers and delivery consultants to drive customer success.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Qualify and develop new opportunities for AWS Professional Services within existing and new territories
* Develop and execute account plans in collaboration with AWS Sales
* Own the sales motion end to end, including prospecting, qualification, and closing of deals
* Lead sales transition to delivery for AWS Professional Services consultants
* Support complex RFx responses and direct bids
* Manage strategic pursuits and orchestrate internal teams to accelerate deal closure
* Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-and-suitability)
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent) system, network, and operating system experience
* Experience in a quota‐carrying role and sales management experience
* Consulting, design, and implementation experience with cloud solutions
* 10+ years of complex project and technology delivery experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience as technical specialist in design and architecture
* Experience in leading and influencing senior stakeholders (C‐Suite) as a trusted advisor
* AWS cloud certification (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or AWS Certified AI Practitioner)
