Be part of something BIG Novotel Devonport is currently seeking Front Office All Rounders & Valet Attendants to join its Front Office team
Overlooking the Mersey River, the Novotel Devonport boasts an unrivaled waterfront location, unique design, outstanding service, and an exciting hotel concept.
We are looking for a full‑time Front Office All Rounder and part‑time and casual Valet Attendants who will assist the front desk, welcome guests, carry luggage, park and retrieve guest cars, escort guests to their rooms, explain the hotel facilities, and provide tourism information and dining recommendations.

Full Time Guest Service Agent/Front Office All Rounder
* Be the first point of contact and greet guests with a warm welcome every time.
* Make the check‑in, check‑out process run smoothly.
* Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality, issuing of room keys, handling credit cards, etc.
* Ensure the security of our guests and their possessions.
* Handle guest complaints in a positive manner and escalating as required.
* Communicate effectively with other departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage to assist guests in regard to room changes, dining bookings, etc.
* Assist with valet parking as required.
Part Time & Casual Valet Attendants
* Be the first point of contact and greet guests with a warm welcome every time.
* Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles.
* Managing pick up times for vehicles to ensure they are onsite for early departures.
* Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage, mail, messages and equipment efficiently and timely.
* Guide guests to their room where required.
* Ensure the efficient delivery and collection of group luggage.
* Be present at the Concierge/Reception desk or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested.
* Book tours and sightseeing activities where required.
* Ensure all logs are completed for receipt and outgoing parcels, mails, etc.
* Assist with room shows for guests as requested by Front Office team members.
* Respond to guest requests and queries providing knowledgeable, accurate and helpful information.
Qualifications
* Previous customer service or hospitality experience highly regarded.
* The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends or public holidays.
* Enthusiasm to connect with guests and to hear their stories.
* Have a genuine love of Devonport and a desire to share your knowledge with our guests.
* Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
* High level of computer literacy.
* Be reliable, well-groomed and have excellent attention to detail.
* Full Tasmanian Manual and Auto Drivers License is essential.
