Intermediate accountant

Opportunity

An opening now exists for an Intermediate Accountant to join their growing team. You will work closely with Managers and Partners on a mix of compliance and advisory work, with the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships and develop your technical and commercial skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and FBT for a range of entities.
• Assist in tax planning, budgeting, and business advisory projects.
• Work directly with clients, building trusted and long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with the senior team on process improvements and client strategies.
• Stay up to date with legislative and software developments.

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or similar.
• Commenced or near completion of CA/CPA qualification.
• 2 - 4 years experience in public practice accounting.
• Sound knowledge of tax compliance and accounting standards.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, client-first attitude.
• Experience with Xero and cloud-based systems will be highly regarded.
