A DIRECT HIRE job opportunity is available through Storm Search. We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer in the Greater Cleveland area.
Summary:
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a plant engineering team supporting capital projects, equipment design, and facilities improvement. This role will focus on enhancing safety, reliability, and efficiency within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical aspects of capital projects, including equipment design, installation, and facility prep.
* Improve equipment performance, reliability, safety, and ergonomics.
* Ensure projects meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Support production and maintenance teams with technical solutions.
* Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors.
* Manage small to mid-sized projects and provide shop floor support.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 3+ years of experience for Engineer Level II, 5+ years for Engineer Level III.
* Strong initiative, safety awareness, and decision-making ability.
* Hands-on experience with shop floor operations.
* Proficiency in Solid Edge CAD is a plus.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EPA, and OSHA standards is preferred.
