About the role
A Northern Territory–based technical services provider is seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join the team in Katherine, NT. This is a full-time position where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing electrical and instrumentation systems across a range of projects throughout the region.
What you'll be doing
* Installing, calibrating, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems for treatment and monitoring equipment
* Troubleshooting faults and performing corrective and preventative maintenance on a variety of plant and field-based equipment
* Assisting with the commissioning of new systems and upgrades of existing infrastructure
* Performing inspections, testing, and recording equipment performance to ensure operational compliance
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with WHS standards and company procedures
* Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to deliver high-quality service
* Participating in on-call rotations and attending to urgent site-based issues as required
What we're looking for
* Certificate III or higher in Electrical or Instrumentation (or equivalent qualification)
* Current NT Electrical Licence and White Card
* Experience in industrial systems is highly regarded
* Sound knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a proactive work ethic
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a field-based environment
* Valid driver's license
