About the Role
SunDoctors Tuggerah is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This position is suitable for a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse who is available to work between two and four days per week.
Working within a dedicated skin cancer clinic, you will support our doctors in delivering high quality patient care while contributing to the smooth day to day running of the clinic. This role offers an opportunity to develop procedural nursing skills while working in a supportive and professional clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting doctors with skin cancer procedures and excisions
* Performing wound care, dressings and suture removals
* Preparing and maintaining procedure rooms
* Supporting infection control and sterilisation processes
* Providing patients with post-procedure care instructions and general skin health education
* Maintaining clinical stock levels and assisting with general clinic operations
About You
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
* Minimum one year nursing experience in a General Practice, surgical, dermatology or skin cancer clinic setting preferred
* Experience assisting with procedures or minor surgery is advantageous
* Experience using Best Practice software is desirable but not essential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
* Professional approach with a strong focus on patient care
