What you will be Doing
As a Residential Logistics Support Officer based in Welshpool, you will be the first point of contact for council customers and residents, providing prompt and professional service. You will liaise between customers and operations, manage enquiries, maintain accurate records, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard in a fast-paced call centre environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide prompt and professional customer service to council clients and residents, responding to enquiries and service requests in a timely manner.
* Act as the key liaison between customers and operations, ensuring clear communication and resolution of issues.
* Maintain accurate data, records, and files relating to residential services, with strong attention to detail.
* Utilise computer systems, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, to manage information, track performance, and generate reports.
* Handle challenging customer interactions effectively, managing expectations while upholding service standards in a busy call centre environment.
Skills & Experience
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
* Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
* Experience in customer service or call centre environments, with the ability to manage high call volumes.
* Proven ability to handle difficult customer interactions professionally while setting clear service expectations.
* High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail when managing data, records, and reporting.
* National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
* Transport / logistics experience is a bonus but not essential
