The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
● Cutting metal sections and components using hand tools, flame torches, and cutting machinery
● Shaping, bending, and forming metal components using manual and mechanical techniques
● Interpreting and working from engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
● Aligning, assembling, and fitting fabricated metal parts using hand tools and measuring instruments
● Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal materials prior to fabrication and welding
● Welding metal components using appropriate welding techniques (including MIG and stick welding)
● Bolting and riveting metal parts where required
● Inspecting completed welds and fabricated components to ensure accuracy, penetration, and quality
● Ensuring all work complies with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements and quality standards
