SUMMARYWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are finished on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to achieve project objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and calculations, ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
Develop in-house electrical designs for solar farms and BESS, including single-line diagrams, layouts, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
Support procurement by preparing technical specifications, evaluating supplier proposals, and ensuring equipment aligns with project needs.
Assist subcontracted consultants in developing detailed designs and verifying deliverables for compliance.
Contribute to early-stage tendering by evaluating technical feasibility and developing preliminary designs.
Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning, resolving technical issues and conducting site visits.
Review test results, oversee proper commissioning, and maintain records of engineering deliverables.
Ensure electrical designs comply with Australian Standards, Grid Codes, and project specifications; support as-built documentation development.
Identify and mitigate design and procurement risks to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to align electrical engineering with other disciplines.
Contribute to new business initiatives and promote high technical standards within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in project engineering or similar roles.
3-5 years of experience in large-scale solar farms, BESS, or power generation projects.
Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience with project management software and tools.
