Short Stay Unit / Emergency Department Flow Project Officer
Fixed Term Full Time (until October 2026). 40 hours per week (with a monthly ADO).
The Grampians Health Ballarat Emergency Department are seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Officer to lead and deliver flow improvement projects.
About The Role
As part of the Emergency Department team you will lead and deliver improvement projects related to the Standards for Safe and Timely Ambulance and Emergency Care and the Timely Emergency Care Collaborative. The primary project that you will lead and deliver focuses on Short Stay Unit utilisation, optimisation and expansion. Secondary projects include the support of other Emergency Department flow projects, such as fast track utilisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and analysis of data to determine areas of improvement
- Model of Care development and pathway design
- Testing and implementation of change ideas
- Scaling, integration and sustaining improvements, model of care and change ideas

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Clinical Nurse Consultant (ZF4-ZJ4) which ranges from $59.08 - $62.20 per hour.
