Arnold Development Consultants (Arnolds) is seeking a Senior Land Surveyor to join our Gold Coast Property Surveying Team. The role involves a mix of leadership and management, within a supportive and mentoring environment. Through a deep knowledge of land, legislation, titling and land use, Arnolds' strategy and direction contribute to the delivery of innovative and differentiated land development projects.
Established initially in Brisbane in the early 1960's, Arnolds rapidly expanded to the Gold Coast by 1969. What are we looking for?
Arnolds requires a Senior Land Surveyor who will be integral to project managing and mentoring teams of Surveyors to deliver projects for our clients;
The successful applicant will become a leader in Arnolds' Surveying Team and will contribute to multidisciplinary project outcomes across Queensland and Northern New South Wales;
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing both project outcomes and client expectations under the supervision and mentorship of Arnolds' Managing Director.
The successful applicant will be responsible for projects ranging in both size and complexity, in order to meet client requirements and maintain a high level of client satisfaction and profitability. Refer to: "YOUR LAND SURVEYING RESPONSIBILITIES" section below.
As a Senior Surveyor you will be additionally responsible for assisting Arnolds' Surveying Team in growing and developing, building the client base and further project workload through proactive customer interaction and business development;
With offices currently in Brisbane and the Gold Coast the successful applicant may need to travel if required.
Your Land Surveying Responsibilities
* Answerable to Arnolds' Managing Director.
* Investigations into the highest and best use for development sites and property in general.
* Land use & titling strategy creation inferred through client requirements, site constraints and legislative analysis.
* Provision of quotes and invoicing to clients.
* Prepare and attend meetings with Local and State Government Departments, as required and negotiate positive outcomes for clients.
* Survey Plan Sealing and condition compliance reporting.
* Expert Witness and Planning and Environment Actions: Potential liaison with P&E Lawyers, Architects, Engineers, Town Planners, Environmental Experts and Landscape professionals.

Job Locations
Based on the Gold Coast, Queensland (Local Office in Robina, Qld, 4226).
Alternative Office: Brisbane, Qld, 4000.
Travel: Projects may require someone desirous of travel. Arnolds currently have projects and clients in North, Central, Western and Southern Queensland.
Salary
$145,000 to $170,000
The position is a full time and salaried position with management and profit share opportunities;
The position includes the potential for business buy in and partnership ;
The salary package will include a modern and fully kitted 4WD Survey Vehicle.

Our attractive salary package covers your professional development inclusive of professional development and Government registration fees .
Mentorship: Whilst you will have the opportunity to mentor others, you will also have the opportunity to be mentored by our multidisciplinary environment, as well as our Managing Director who has assisted with the assessment and regulation of the profession in Queensland since 2008.
The final salary package will depend upon the successful candidate's skills and experience.

Professional Requirements
* Formal Land Surveying Qualifications. Either an Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree from a recognised tertiary institution.
* Registration as a Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland or equivalent Registration with an equivalent Board from another State of Australia or from New Zealand.
* Good understanding of Land & Planning legislation in Queensland, or an ability equivalent to this in another like jurisdiction.
* Good understanding with respect to Titles Queensland's requirements for the preparation of plans in Queensland.
* Good understanding of the cadastral surveying requirements in Queensland with respect to relevant legislation, associated regulations and policy, as per the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development.
