Transport / Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport/Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate our daily transport and earthmoving operations. About the Role
The Transport/Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe and compliant movement of plant, equipment, and materials across multiple project sites. The role involves hands‑on coordination, problem‑solving, and communication with drivers, operators, supervisors, and management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day‑to‑day transport and logistics operations across WA
* Scheduling and allocating trucks, machinery, and operators to meet project requirements
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant transport, safety, and environmental regulations
* Coordinating maintenance schedules for fleet and equipment
* Monitoring productivity, identifying operational improvements, and implementing solutions
* Liaising with project managers, site supervisors, and external stakeholders
* Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and reporting
* Supporting a positive safety culture and promoting best practice across all operations
About You

Essential requirements:
* Permanent residency or valid Australian work rights
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in the transport, earthmoving, or civil construction industry
* Proven experience in transport coordination, fleet management, or operational leadership
* Strong understanding of heavy vehicle regulations, fatigue management, and safety compliance
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing operational needs
* A proactive, hands‑on approach with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience working in regional or remote WA environments
* Knowledge of road construction or civil earthworks operations
* Relevant industry tickets or qualifications
* Experience using Gearbox, TN360 and MTData
