Key Responsibilities
· Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and work orders; calculate materials and plan work sequences
· Select, prepare, and use quality timber and construction materials
· Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using recognised carpentry and joinery techniques
· Perform framing work: roof framing, subfloor construction, wall framing, and floor systems installation
· Install and repair doors, windows, cladding, fascia boards, and other internal/external fixtures
· Construct formwork for concrete structures and undertake repair work where required
· Work with timber, laminates, composites, and metal components
· Apply modern construction practices, tools, and technologies to improve productivity and quality
· Identify on-site issues and develop practical solutions
· Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
Qualifications & Experience
· Certificate III in Carpentry or Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent trade qualification)
· Demonstrated experience in carpentry and joinery with consistent high-quality results
· Strong understanding of Australian Building Codes and Standards
· Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture
· Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
· High attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship
· Effective communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, and clients
