Trusted Mechanical Solutions are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our growing small Mobile Perth Based business.
We carry out crane, load shifting & transport equipment repairs and servicing and pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our customers.
We are seeking mechanics, with previous experience on a wide range of machinery and vehicles, particularly small and heavy forklifts; along with experience in fault diagnostics, preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance and breakdown situations.
Responsibilities
* Working 5-6 days a week as needed by our clients
* Undertake service and repairs to all mechanical plants and equipment including forklifts, material handling grabs, mobile port cranes, light vehicles, trucks, excavators, loaders, terminal tractors and generators or any other site equipment/plant items as required by the client.
* Service and maintain various hydraulic and diesel equipment.
* Service and maintain small plants including petrol- and diesel-powered pumps and generators.
* Breakdown repair to train-mounted generator systems.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records.
* Order parts and maintain vehicle stock at appropriate levels.
* Comply with all Statutory OS&H requirements.
* Take reasonable care to ensure their own safety and health whilst at work and that of others.
* Consult and cooperate with Management on matters of Occupational Safety and Health.
* Report all hazards, accidents, incidents and near misses according to the Accident/Incident reporting process.
* Develop and follow all safe work procedures as directed by the supervisor or as otherwise directed.
* Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
* Ensure all documents are created, stored and maintained in accordance with the organization's requirements.
* Actively seek and report on methods of improving systems of work to ensure continuous improvement.
* Respond to organizational initiatives and assist in the development of the Company as directed.
* Always representing the Company in a responsible and professional manner.
* Always comply with the policies and procedures of the organization.
* Properly organize and manage working hours to ensure efficient productivity.
* Perform other duties as directed that fall within the scope of the position or the incumbent's knowledge and skills base.
* Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

Qualifications
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy machinery and mobile equipment.
* Proven skills in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of heavy vehicles and equipment.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
* HR License preferred (but not essential)
* Current MSIC, or ability to obtain one
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted working rights
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
