We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Nurse Manager to provide effective day‑to‑day operational leadership across a broad range of hospital services. Working closely with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, this role ensures the delivery of efficient, patient‑centred and outcome‑focused nursing services in line with NBMLHD policies, community needs and allocated resources.
The Operations Nurse Manager plays a key role in supporting the organisation's safety management system by fostering a positive health and safety culture and consulting with staff on matters that impact workplace wellbeing. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of care, operational excellence and a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Registered Nurse/Midwife Division 1 with current National Registration with AHPRA.
* Recognised Tertiary management / leadership qualification or working towards, including recently engaged in professional development to further enhance their management and leadership competencies with demonstrated recent experience at a senior nursing management level in an acute hospital.
* Broad operational management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment.
* Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills that support the development of a positive workplace culture.
* Understanding of, and commitment to the effective and meaningful engagement of clinicians in the decision-making process that impact on positive patient outcomes
* Demonstrated experience in the successful application of change management principles.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues relating to nursing/midwifery professional practice.
* Current unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.
