 
        
        Hotel Renmark is seeking a motivated and skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade. This position plays a key role in supporting the smooth running of the kitchen, working closely under the Executive Chef, Head Chef, and Senior Sous Chef. 
The role spans across all Hotel Renmark dining areas and functions, including our acclaimed Temperance Restaurant — a fine-dining venue known for its super-local ethos, regional produce, and immersive guest experience where chefs are part of the dining room. 
Key Responsibilities 
Support the Executive Chef, Head Chef, and Senior Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations. 
Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation to the highest standard across Hotel Renmark venues, including Temperance Restaurant. 
Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and career development. 
Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and OH&S; standards. 
Contribute to menu planning, stock control, and cost management. 
Ensure productive service delivery during peak times, including functions and events. 
Requirements 
Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior chef role within a busy kitchen environment. 
Strong knowledge of contemporary Australian cuisine, with an interest in fine-dining and regional produce. 
Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills. 
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends.
