We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Centre Director who will lead a team of passionate and professional Educators at our Brown Hill - Perridak Burron Early Learning service.
The Perridak Burron (meaning 'Platypus Children') Early Learning Centre provides a culturally safe and rich learning environment where families and the community are collaborators in each child's learning journey from birth through to school engagement. Perridak Burron will combat and support the barriers and factors that impact upon Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander families' participation in early year's education. This program initiates the instilling of Aboriginal culture and history on the journey from birth to elder aligning to BADAC's holistic principle.

Key Responsibilities
Facilitatetheongoing qualityimprovementoftheservice andthe assessment& ratingprocessesinliaison with the Department of Education.
Ensuringcompliancewithregulatorylegislationandstandards aspertheNationalEducationandCare Regulations and National Law.
Workinaculturallyrespectfulwaytoensure communitymembers,children,youngpeopleandtheir families are empowered to develop and maintain cultural connections.
ProvidesupporttothePerridak BurronEarlyLearning Centrestaffincluding butnotlimitedto:appraisal processes,supervisionsessions,rostering, floor management and audits.
Develop networks and relationships with local community contacts and other service providers.
Contribute to the positive marketing of the centre.
Provide a safe and healthy environment for children, visitors and staff in the workplace.
Develop effective communication through positive partnerships with families at the centre.
Key Selection Criteria
Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and the ability to communicate with Aboriginal children and their families.
Sound experience as a Centre Director/Service Manager within the Early Years Sector.
Experience using QIKKIDS preferred but not essential.
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or above, or equivalent as approved by ACECQA).
Current First Aid – Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or equivalent HLTAID004.
Mandatory Reporting Certificate and GECCKO Child Safety Training.
Demonstrated knowledge of the National Education & Care Services Law and Regulations.
Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of high quality Early Years educational programs.
Demonstrated knowledge of the VEYLDF, NQF & NQS.
Willingness to undertake training in the 8AWOL and implement into professional practice.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills in particular, negotiation and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize tasks and meet required timeframes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment.

Be willing to have a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children Check Clearance.
