The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Hobart. You will contribute to a variety of major infrastructure projects, industrial, and commercial developments, while providing technical guidance across different structural materials for our junior team members. With offices Australia-wide, there are ample opportunities to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Becoming a technical focal point and providing guidance for the structural team in Hobart.
2. Applying engineering fundamentals to solve intermediate to advanced engineering challenges.
3. Liaising with clients, design technicians, and team members to deliver practical solutions.
4. Managing clients, preparing fee proposals, and tender documentation.
5. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
What you bring:
1. Minimum 15+ years of experience in structural design.
2. Deep experience in structural engineering design and Chartered Professional Engineer status with Engineers Australia or equivalent.
3. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or higher.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Willingness to mentor and review technical documentation for junior staff.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues and clients.
