National Key Account Manager - Vacuum Sewerage Systems
$125K - $135K + Super + $17K Car Allowance + Bonus
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a national client base for a global business operating within the water and wastewater infrastructure sector.
Working with councils, utilities and system operators across Australia, you will be responsible for managing long-term relationships and supporting the ongoing performance of critical infrastructure systems already operating in the field.
This role is less about chasing new logos and more about developing trusted partnerships, supporting system reliability, and identifying opportunities for service, spare parts and upgrades across an established installed base.
You will act as the company's primary representative in Australia, working closely with international teams while helping strengthen the organisation's presence locally. You'll be taking over roughly 60 accounts with most of the work in QLD, however visits to NSW/WA will be part of your role too.
The position offers a high level of autonomy and will suit someone comfortable managing a national territory and working independently.
Once you're established in the position, we're planning to build around with by getting a warehouse, service teams etc. Ton of growth potential in the role and business.
The Role
In this role you will:
Manage relationships with councils, utilities and infrastructure operators across Australia
Support the ongoing performance and operation of installed infrastructure systems
Identify opportunities for service support, spare parts and system upgrades
Conduct site visits and meet clients across NSW, QLD and WA
Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for sustainable regional growth
Coordinate service activities and assist in developing local technical support capability
Represent the business at industry meetings and technical events
Over time, this role will also contribute to building a local technical support capability and regional spare parts distribution network.
About You
This role will suit someone who combines technical curiosity with strong relationship management skills.
You may come from a background in:
Water or wastewater infrastructure
Pump systems or mechanical equipment
Utilities or municipal infrastructure
Technical building or civil infrastructure products
You will likely have:
A mechanical or engineering qualification.
Experience working with councils, utilities, engineers or infrastructure operators
Strong relationship management and account development skills
The ability to work autonomously across a national territory
Confidence discussing technical systems and equipment
A willingness to travel regularly to client sites across Australia
