Job Description – Operations Manager.

Location: Mannum Motel, Café Mannum, and River Shack Rentals
Position Overview
The Operations manager plays a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of Mannum Motel, Café Mannum, and River Shack Rentals. Acting as a link between Directors and frontline staff, the role provides leadership, structure, and support across accommodation, food & beverage, and holiday rental operations.
This position oversees daily operations, ensures consistent service standards, manages rosters, and coordinates with department teams, while also assisting with marketing, bookings and group activities.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
* Oversee daily Motel, Café, and River Shack Rentals operations.
* Ensure smooth guest experiences across accommodation, dining, and rental services.
* Monitor and maintain service standards, cleanliness, and presentation.
* Manage online listings/rates etc.
Staff Leadership & Rosters
* Prepare, manage, and adjust staff rosters across Motel, Café, and River Shack Rentals.
* Ensuring wages are in line with the budget
* Provide direction, feedback, and day-to-day support to staff.
* Act as the first point of contact for staff queries or operational issues.
Department Coordination
* Work closely with the Head Housekeeper to maintain housekeeping standards.
* Liaise with the part-time marketing and bookings team to support promotions and sales.
* Ensure effective communication between ownership and team members.
* Ensure Proper food handling is maintained
Administration & Reporting
* Track and report on daily operations, guest feedback, and staffing needs.
* Support owner managers with projects, compliance, and operational planning.

Skills & Attributes
* Strong organisational and leadership skills.
* Experience in hospitality operations (accommodation and/or food & beverage).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility to work across multiple business areas.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
· Ability to utilise Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reporting, communication, and day-to-day operations.
