We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our legal team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures, excellent research skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
 * Conducting Legal Research: Conduct thorough research and analysis to support lawyers in preparing cases, drafting documents, and providing advice to clients.
 * Document Preparation: Assist with the preparation of legal documents and court filings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
 * Client File Management: Manage and organise client files, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow-up on tasks.
 * Communication: Coordinate with clients, external parties, and other stakeholders to gather information and facilitate the legal process.
 * Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
 * Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
 * File Maintenance: Open and close files, ensuring all necessary documentation is up to date.
 * Brief Preparation: Prepare briefs to Counsel and Report Writers, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
 * Administrative Tasks: Undertake administrative tasks, including data entry, invoicing, file management, conflict checking, monitoring relevant email inboxes, and general office duties.
Requirements
 * Achieved Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification in law, legal studies, or a related administration field.
 * Work Experience: 2-3 years of experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar legal support role.
 * Linguistic Skills: Multilingual (especially in Mandarin) desirable but not essential.
 * Critical Skills: Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
 * Technical Skills: Proficient in using legal research databases and MS Office applications.
 * Prioritisation: Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
 * Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
 * Adaptability: Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure, remaining adaptable.
 * Meticulousness: Have a meticulous eye for detail and accurate proof-reading skills.
 * Interest in Law: A genuine interest in the legal industry and a willingness to learn and grow within the firm.
