Childcare Operations Manager
The Childcare Operations Manager will oversee the daily activities of a nursery room.
This role is ideal for a creative and reflective leader who can implement new ideas to enhance practice.
Key responsibilities include planning activities, assessing children's progress, resolving issues, and communicating with the management team.
* Lead the operation of a room/age group within the nursery.
* Plan engaging activities for the room/age group, with support from staff; assess children's progress; resolve conflicts; communicate with the manager; and ensure routines and expectations are followed.
* Collaborate closely with the manager and other room leaders to achieve shared goals.
* Ensure the safety and happiness of children; provide support to the nursery team in daily operations.
* Manage a key worker group, overseeing their learning, assessments, and supporting all children in the nursery.
* Work within child protection laws, health and safety legislation, and Ofsted and National Standards guidelines.
* Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting staff and children in the nursery.
* Participate in safeguarding initiatives to promote the welfare of all children.
* Develop effective leadership skills to manage a team.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Leadership and management experience in childcare or education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
