The Client
Our Client is a department of the Government of Australia charged with the responsibility to defend Australia and its national interests.
The Role
Our client requires a Director Design - Technical Architecture with significant experience translating complex customer requirements and constraints into high‑performing, scalable ICT technical solutions especially in large, complex organisations.
The resource must have deep experience in the implementation of enterprise scale ICT systems within a Commonwealth environment and have demonstrated knowledge and experience of Australian Defence technical infrastructure elements, including of the Program's drivers and requirements.
Working with the Solution Delivery Leadership team and the System Integrator to oversee all aspects of the ERP technical solution architecture, the specialist services will involve:
* Provide SAP Subject Matter Expertise to the Business, Technical SAP depth and leadership while leveraging S/4HANA, BW/4HANA and Cloud based solution integration knowledge to support architectural scoping and planning.
* Balance quality of proposed SI technical solutions and build requirements with ERP design principles, service quality, and systems management considerations and hold the necessary official Design authority responsibilities.
* Ensure the development of modern ICT architectures across all domains of the enterprise architecture including infrastructure and platforms, security, applications, integration, network, mobility and end user computing.
* Working with a team of SAP technical consultants to develop project artefacts, methodologies, tools, and deliverables (architecture, design, configuration, specification, build, test and sustainment materials).
* Provide specialist advice on architecture, design and implementation of enterprise scale ICT landscapes, translating complex technical and functional requirements into materials that support leadership decision making.
* Working collaboratively to support shaping of complex transformation programs as well as hands‑on ICT implementation experience.
* Working with stakeholders at various levels of an organisation to align operational demands, disruptions and opportunities with the longer‑term business goals of the organisation.
* Support Solution Delivery Leadership in other various duties and activities as required.
About You
The Director Design - Technical Architect must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Extensive experience with complex SAP technical solutions in SAP S/4HANA or SAP Enterprise as Central Component (ECC) 6 Modules, Cloud-based services.
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of existing Defence ERP production system landscape.
* Demonstrated experience working with SAP technical consultants, functional consultants and subject matter experts and with Defence organisations, specifically Technical Platform domains.
* University degree and/or 20+ years' experience including ICT and relevant business domain.
