NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
An exciting opportunity is available for an Administration Officer to join the team at Katoomba and Springwood Community Health Centre. This role supports a community based mental health and child and family health service that is committed to delivering high quality, person centred care to the local community.
Working across both sites, you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the service and providing a welcoming first point of contact for clients, families and stakeholders.
As an Administration Officer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a complex service delivery environment. Your work will contribute to the efficient management of the team by supporting clinicians and managers, managing enquiries, coordinating appointments and maintaining accurate records, all while demonstrating professionalism, discretion and a strong focus on service quality.
This role would suit someone who is organised, adaptable and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare setting. You will bring strong communication skills, a positive approach to teamwork and a genuine interest in supporting community health services that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Proven ability to effectively work autonomously with minimal supervision and as a part of a team.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people who exhibit challenging behaviours.
* Experience in a frontline customer service role and ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Demonstrated skills and experience using Windows and Microsoft Office Software.
* Proven experience working with people from generationally, mentally and culturally diverse backgrounds including non-English speaking
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to manage competing priorities in order to meet deadlines.
* A valid class C NSW drivers licence and willingness to commute for work purposes.
