Work & Training, in partnership with our valued host organisation in beautiful Hobart, is seeking a passionate and experienced Horticulturist for a full-time, 3-month contract.
About the Role
You'll be employed by Work & Training and placed with our respected host, where you'll be working full-time (38 hours per week) in a hands-on, fulfilling horticultural role.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and implement horticultural work programs across a range of landscapes and plant collections.
* Maintain and enhance specific plant displays or collections.
* Monitor plant health and manage pests and diseases effectively.
* Maintain irrigation systems, horticultural equipment, and machinery in line with WHS policies.
* Carry out other relevant duties as required.
What You Need
Essential:
* Certificate III in Horticulture (AHC30716) or equivalent qualification from a registered training provider.
Desirable:
* Current driver's licence.
* First Aid – Workplace Level 2 certificate.
* Accredited chainsaw competency.
* Previous experience in a botanical or public garden setting.
