**About the facility**
The McKellar Centre is the sub-acute campus of Barwon Health, servicing the region of greater Geelong and more broadly the south-west region of Victoria. It includes a 100 bed inpatient facility for Rehabilitation, GEM and Palliative Care streams, as well as outpatient and home-based rehabilitation services. Mature and dynamic inter-disciplinary teams provide neurological, orthopaedic, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and amputee rehabilitation as well as paediatric and transition rehabilitation services. Barwon Health is affiliated with Deakin University, and is a major provider of teaching to medical, nursing and allied health students.
The Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) is located at McKellar Kids Rehab, a brand new centre designed by kids for kids.
**About the role**
As the Senior Social Worker, you will provide specialist clinical care in an interdisciplinary model to children, adolescents, and their families. You will ensure a best practice approach to the delivery of services, focusing on the consumer's needs in the context of everyday activities and lifetime opportunities. The services encourage innovation and working with families to get the best outcomes for young people.
The Senior Social Worker has a clinical leadership role in implementing aspects of the service model and strategic direction in consultation with the McKellar Kids Rehab Co-ordinator and in ensuring best practice and evidence based approach to the delivery of services.
There is likely to be some travel to community organisations and to other Health Services.

Essential: Can you please list Barwon Health's values?

Essential: Specialist expertise in the rehabilitation management of children/adolescents. Competencies would include but are not limited to Care Planning and Goal setting.
Essential: Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent, Eligibility for membership of Australian Association Social Workers (AASW).
Essential: Sound understanding of relevant Legislative Acts pertaining to the wellbeing of children.
Essential: Sound understanding of Family Violence legislation and child information sharing schemes.
Essential: Experience working with children at risk and ability to undertake comprehensive risk assessments.
