About our client.

Our client is an industry leading provider of asset data capture, asset management and building consultancy services, with a proven track record of excellence across Australia and New Zealand.

Due to an influx of new projects, we are seeking technical professionals with demonstrated experience working in maintenance, carpentry, mechanical/electrical building services, or ESM in commercial, industrial or healthcare facilities.

Apprentices or graduates with knowledge or experience in Building Surveying/Building Inspections, Fit-out, carpentry or related fields working on commercial construction or maintenance projects are welcome to apply.


About the role.

As a Building Assessor, you will be based in the Melbourne area and travel to a range of sites across Regional and Metro areas Victoria, collecting data with tablets, 3D imaging or thermal cameras, and drones on facilities such as hospitals & clinics, universities, schools, TAFE, government buildings & correctional facilities.


Your responsibilities will include:

* Identify and record data on the type, location and condition of relevant mechanical/electrical building systems, fixtures and building fabrics (cladding, walls, floor coverings, ceilings).
* Provide thorough and accurate data capture, ensuring data is uploaded as directed to minimise risk of data loss.
* Craft highly precise and detailed reports for assessments when required.
* Actively engage with the team to maintain accuracy and verify data capture quality.


You will need:

* Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid Victorian driver's license, and willingness to travel (Required).
* A current Employee Working with Children Check and White Card (Required).
* National Police Check, proof of Covid19 vaccination (May be required).
* Exceptional level of attention to detail and proven ability to capture high quality data on a range of assets in a commercial environment.
* Proficient with the use and troubleshooting of smartphones, laptops, tablets and cameras.
* Professional demeanour and the capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
* An appropriate level of physical fitness as this role requires walking around large sites and being on your feet for long periods of time.
