**Your new company**
Our client is a local council who is driven to create a positive change for the citizens within its district. They are involved in a range of local schemes to improve the quality of lifestyle and are looking to add a Facilities Project Officer to join the Growing Corporate Property Branch team.
**Your new role**
**Project Administration**- Providing research, administrative support and quality assurance across each stage of the project lifecycle.- Focus on lessons learnt to continually improve the services of Logan City Council.- Provide timely and efficient coordination and dissemination of project materials such as managing and maintaining project briefs, project scheduling, action logs, budgets, and project performance monitoring.- Assist with stakeholder management and communications, including status reporting, meeting minutes and other project documentation to various stakeholders.- Assist with the preparation of project plans- Manage, coordinate, and monitor special projects and regularly report on the progress stages of these projects.
- Preparing reports on project activities and identified risks.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Build collaborative and respectful relationships with key project partners and stakeholders.
- Contribute to communication initiatives to ensure regular and consistent messaging is delivered to stakeholders- Ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is properly referenced and captured for proper record keeping requirements and to ensure ease of recovery.
**What you'll need to succeed**
**Qualifications**:
Credentials and / or certification in relevant fields such as change management, agile methodology (e.g. PROSCI, Agile fundamentals, ITIL) would be highly regarded.
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
- Considerable experience in a moderately complex project management environment.
- Experience working in a team and supporting delivering of projects / programs of work.
- Awareness of the breadth and complexity of project / program / portfolio management (P3M).
- Experience within a public sector environment, preferably within a local council (highly regarded).
- Time management skills, self-motivation with the ability to remain innovative under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise while working to demanding deadlines.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills to write and / or interpret business cases, reports and other documentation.
- Sound problem-solving skills in a specialist / technical environment.- Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence. Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence.
