About the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major $50M Tailings Dam project, operating on an 8:6 roster. This is a high profile resource project offering the opportunity to work within a large, well structured delivery team of approximately 140 personnel.
The project scope is broad and technically engaging, encompassing bulk earthworks, drainage, general civil works, concrete structures, and other key resource infrastructure activities. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of works on site, working closely with project management, supervision, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
:
* Deliver bulk earthworks and civil works within project programs and specifications
* Prepare work packs, methodologies, and construction programs for civil scopes
* Manage quantities, load counting, and cost tracking for earthworks activities
* Provide practical technical support to site and supervisory teams
* Monitor productivity, sequencing, and resource utilisation on site
* Identify efficiencies and cost saving opportunities across civil works
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related field
* Strong experience in bulk earthworks, civil construction or large scale infrastructure projects
* Prior experience with tailings dam or TSF projects is advantageous but not essential
* Skilled in project cost management, load tracking and materials coordination
* Hands-on technical and engineering expertise with the ability to support and lead site teams
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
