We are seeking a research-focused academic to join our Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery at The University of Queensland.
The Centre is dedicated to exploring the physics of black holes and warped space-time, with a focus on advancing our understanding of the universe through cutting-edge research projects.

* Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
* Supervise students, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
* Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, engage in outreach activities, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed a PhD in Astrophysics (or near completion for Level A) and demonstrated achievements in gravitational-wave and/or cosmology research. You should also possess high standard interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
In addition, you will need to have experience in supervising students, providing performance feedback and training, resolving conflicts, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team. You should also be able to develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, and engage in outreach activities.
