1. This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the initial development of curriculum and assessment for a foundation secondary school, growing one year level each year from Year 7 in 2024 to Year 12 in 2029.
2. Given the school is in the first year of establishment, the teaching, learning and student support practices are based on the latest evidence-based research. The brand-new facilities support 21st century skills and these teaching and learning practices.
3. You will be supported by education support staff, teachers, and leaders in a highly collaborative workplace, with opportunities for professional development and career advancement
4. The school has a highly supportive leadership team with a culture of collaboration and innovation. As we grow, we will have many opportunities for leadership and positions of responsibility including Leading Teachers, Learning Specialists, Learning Area Leaders, Student Managers, Student Support Services etc. The Principal Class have an open-door policy and are always available to staff.
5. A thorough induction will ensure you will be set up for success with support in curriculum, assessment, reporting & school processes.
6. As a member of the Foundation Staff, you will have input and play a vital role in the implementation of curriculum within your area as well as the physical set up of the learning environment.
7. The school site is planned to be completed and access given to school staff from mid-December 2023. Given this timeline, we anticipate some staff of the school will be involved in late January to prepare for the opening of the school on the first day of the 2024 school year.
