Anglicare is seeking a part time 3 days a week Disaster Recovery Coordinator to lead volunteer engagement and coordination across NSW. You will be working as a part of the NSW D isaster R ecovery team and volunteers you will be making an impact at a critical time in people's lives. This role can be based anywhere within N SW ( Sydney, Hawksbury & Blue Mountains, Illawarra, Northern Rivers, Shoalhaven & C entral C oast preferred ). Your Purpose: Coordinate, recruit, resource, and train disaster recovery volunteers, and manag e deployments during disaster events. You’ll play a vital role in strengthening community preparedness and response. What You’ll Do: Build strong partnerships with local communities and stakeholders. Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers for disaster recovery and preparedness. Collaborate with Anglicare teams and external agencies to deliver effective disaster response. Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance, and drive strategic projects that improve processes and outcomes. What We’re Looking For: Strong interpersonal and networking skills and working with external stakeholders Proven experience in project delivery and volunteer engagement. Experience working with disadvantaged people groups, such as crisis response & disaster recovery Ability to deliver training to foster community resilience. Flexibility to travel and work during disaster events within NSW Someone who would like to work 3 days per week with flexibility in workdays and times to fit in with volunteer events as Project management certification, community development skills and emergency management experience highly regarded.
