Established for over 39 years, ATC Work Smart is a valued and responsible contributor to the community, providing Group Training, Labour Hire, and Registered Training services in Metropolitan and Regional WA. Our underpinning objective is to provide workforce development solutions through the facilitation and delivery of comprehensive employment, training, and support services for apprentices and trainees.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to lead and grow our Group Training operations. In this hands-on leadership role you will drive sustainable business growth, aligned with organisational goals and community needs by focusing on strong industry engagement, understanding labour market conditions, and supporting the team to deliver high-quality, compliant services that create meaningful training and employment pathways for apprentices and trainees.
You will work closely with the CEO, Corporate Services Manager, and our RTO to ensure our services remain responsive to workforce needs in the regions we operate.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support Industry Consultants to deliver high-quality Group Training services
* Maintain productivity, quality, and customer service standards
* Build and manage a medium-sized apprentice/trainee caseload
* Develop and maintain strong employer and stakeholder relationships
* Drive business growth through new client acquisition and client retention
* Input into budget projections, KPIs, and financial reporting
* Analyse market trends and client feedback to inform strategic decisions
* Lead development and monitoring of marketing and operational plans
* Provide advice to CEO and leadership team on opportunities, risks and long-term needs
Key Outcomes
* Business Development: Build a strong new business pipeline
* Client Retention: Strengthen relationships with existing host employers
* Management & Reporting: Forecast targets and monitor outcomes
Essential Experience & Skills
* Proven management experience with demonstrated business development success
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
* Ability to analyse and interpret data for decision-making
* Demonstrated experience building growth strategies and stakeholder relationships
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong mentoring and people leadership capability
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
* Tertiary qualifications in business, management, training or related field
* Knowledge of the VET, Group Training, or Labour Hire sectors
* Previous experience in a similar role
Other Requirements
* Current C/CA Driver's Licence
* National Police Clearance & Working with Children Check
* Willingness to travel across regional WA, including overnight stays
