Salary: $135,826.04 - $138,534.10 per annum, pro rata + 12% super & salary packaging

About ISLHD IMACS
The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) Infection Management and Control Service (IMACS) is a team of experienced CNCs, managed by the IMACS Nurse Manager. IMACS CNCs carry portfolios of responsibility defined by geographical or service-related location. The service is supported by administrative officers and there is a close working relationship with the infectious disease specialists, ISLHD Public Health Unit, and NSW Health Pathology.
IMACS CNCs participate in the IMACS on-call roster to provide out-of-hours infection prevention and control advice and support across the LHD. CNCs are supported by the NM IMACS when rostered on-call.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical infection prevention and control advice to patients, carers and health care professionals regarding complex infection prevention and control needs within the LHD.
* Lead, influence and model evidence-based clinical practice, education, research and professional leadership.
* Collaborate with other IMACS CNCs to develop a cohesive and consistent approach.
* Deliver leadership across infection prevention and control practice and pursue professional development opportunities.
* Contribute to a culture aligned with CORE values: Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
The CNC models the CORE values of the organisation and works closely with infectious disease specialists and other health units.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* Valid NSW Driver's Licence with willingness to travel as required.
* Minimum five years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least three years in the specialty field and postgraduate qualifications relevant to the field of practice, or other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
Frequent travel is required to Milton Ulladulla Hospital and David Berry Hospital.
