We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the nuances of construction payroll, and can confidently manage end-to-end payroll functions.
Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end payroll for weekly and fortnightly cycles
* Process employee timesheets, allowances, RDOs, overtime, and site-specific conditions
* Ensure compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and construction industry legislation
* Maintain accurate employee records and handle payroll queriesLiaise with HR, site managers, and finance teams
* Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end processes
* Support process improvements and payroll system optimisation
About You:
* Proven experience as a Payroll Officer within the construction industry (essential)
* Strong understanding of construction awards, EBAs, and site-based payroll complexities
* High attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy
* Proficient with payroll systems (e.g., MYOB, Chris21, ADP, or similar)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport across the business
* A proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability
