Branch Supervisor Job Description
We're seeking a seasoned leader to oversee and support our on-road traffic teams, ensuring safe and effective traffic management services across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and guide traffic controllers at multiple sites
* Lead by example and foster a proactive safety culture through coaching and mentoring
* Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and audits to ensure compliance and quality
* Provide expert guidance on traffic control plans, procedures, and safe work practices
* Respond to incidents, lead investigations, and manage reporting to maintain transparency and accountability
* Support the training and development of field staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
* Liaise with clients to resolve issues and build strong, long-term relationships
* Manage fleet, equipment, and compliance checks to maintain optimal performance
* Conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy and regulations
* Assist with return-to-work programs and injury management to promote a healthy and productive work environment
Requirements:
* Experience in traffic control, civil, or similar field-based industries (essential)
* Strong leadership and/or training experience with a proven track record of success
* Proven focus on health, safety, and operational excellence with a commitment to continuous improvement
* Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of productivity
* Solid computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly to stay up-to-date with industry advancements
* Customer-first mindset with excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike
* Confidence working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a willingness to take calculated risks and adapt to changing circumstances
* Relevant traffic control and WHS qualifications (desired)
