Payroll Officer
As a Payroll Officer at UnitingCare, you will be responsible for the reliable, accurate and timely processing of transactional payroll activities in accordance with the organisation's policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
* Maintain employee files and conduct time data checks and corrections.
* Process leave, new starters, terminations and job changes.
* Complete all tasks to a high standard, within required timelines and documented procedures.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
* Pay staff in accordance with their terms and conditions of employment.
* Conduct end‐to‐end payroll processing, including fortnightly pay runs.
* Interpret and process complex transactions in a large, multi‐award environment.
* Provide information via internal Workday queries and telephone requests.
Qualifications
* Previous payroll experience highly regarded but not required.
* Chris21/Aurion payroll system experience highly regarded but not required.
* Strong customer‐centric mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* Empathetic approach to payroll queries.
* Professional attitude and ability to work independently and within a team.
