Financial Controller – Renewable Energy IPP
A high-growth renewable energy platform is seeking a
Financial Controller
to lead finance operations across utility-scale and distributed energy assets in Australia.
This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine scope to shape finance processes, systems and controls as the business scales its multi-entity portfolio.
Key responsibilities
* Own monthly, quarterly and statutory financial reporting (AASB/IFRS)
* Lead
group and platform consolidations
, including sub-consolidations across multiple entities
* Ensure accuracy of management, investor and lender reporting
* Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management in partnership with FP&A
* Manage audits, tax compliance and regulatory obligations (ASIC, ATO, GST, PAYG)
* Strengthen financial controls, risk management and governance frameworks
* Support capital transactions, due diligence and investor/lender obligations
* Drive process improvement and systems optimisation (including NetSuite)
* Lead and develop a growing finance team
About you
* 8–10+ years' experience in finance, with several years in a leadership role
* Demonstrated experience managing
multi-entity accounting and financial consolidations
* Background in infrastructure, renewables, real assets, private equity or project-based environments
* Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
* Confident business partner able to influence senior stakeholders
* Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
* CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)
