This is a six-month fixed term full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension.

Warwick Senior High School (SHS) is an Independent Public School located in the northern suburbs of Perth. Ideally situated, it is a school with a strong tradition of academic excellence. The school provides a mix of traditional and innovative programs. It offers courses leading to tertiary studies, TAFE traineeships and apprenticeships and the workplace Warwick's specialist programs include Department of Education Approved Netball and Australian Rules Football, school based Academic Excellence, Dance Elite and Music, as well as a number of vocational education and training (VET) certificates.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic leader. Working closely with the Student Services, Executive and wider administrative team, the Program Coordinator - Student Services – Lower School will oversee and guide a team, fostering staff cohesion and capacity building. They will also play a key role in the implementation of school policies related to attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate effective leadership qualities including the capacity to strategically lead evidence-based improvements, inspire others, and build and maintain effective working relationships with parents, students and teachers through highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.

The Program Coordinator - Student Service - Lower School is accountable for the effective daily management of the lower school team and works in partnership with staff to achieve the schools' targets. Along with the Head of Student Services – Senior School, they will collaborate closely with the School Psychologist, Nurse, Chaplain, Clerical Officers, Year Coordinators and the Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer.

The successful applicant will ideally play a significant role in the daily management of student wellbeing and should be able to lead all staff in developing and implementing strategies to promote a whole‐school focus on student engagement and well‐being. The role has a strong emphasis on student behaviour and attendance using a combination of documented plans, positive reinforcement and restorative processes as well as a strong commitment to natural justice and engagement of students in the learning process.

The role will commence week 4, term 3, with the exact date to be negotiated with the successful applicant and relevant school.
