About The Role
* Designing and maintaining geospatial systems infrastructure
* Installing and configuring GIS software, hardware, and peripherals
* Developing scripts, databases, and applications to automate geospatial tasks
* Analysing data and producing maps, reports, and other visualisations
* Creating and maintaining metadata for geospatial datasets
* Fulfilling map and data requests
* Ensuring data integrity and supporting spatial projects
* Conducting geographical analysis
* Coordinating the collection, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial data

* A maximum-term contract up to 16 months, with the possibility of extension or permanency subject to performance, funding and operational need
* A base salary ranging from $84,316 per annum with competency-based increments up to $99,874 per annum, plus 12% super

We are seeking
* Tertiary qualification in spatial information science or related discipline and/or 3+ years of demonstrated experience in GIS roles with a proven ability to deliver position requirements (beyond research experience)
* Demonstrated experience in the use of the ArcGIS suite of applications: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online (ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Experience Builder / Web App Builder)
* Demonstrated technical capabilities and competency with spatial database administration using FME, SQL query tools, Oracle Database, Technology One CiA
* Thorough understanding of spatial analysis, spatial database design and map production (creation, manipulation, analysis, geoprocessing, cartographic design skills)
* Proven organisational and time‐management abilities in managing large‐scale, multi‐year geospatial projects, ensuring on‐time and within‐budget delivery while collaborating with cross‐functional teams
Position Location
This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
