The position of Principal Management Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of departmental objectives through budget processes, planning, reporting, and client support.
Responsibilities
Take a leadership role in the delivery of State Budget Papers and processes, resource planning, financial analysis and reporting.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of materials for budget submissions and Budget Committee Hearings.
Facilitate updates to departmental financial data through the Queensland Treasury Tridata system and maintain internal budgets and reporting tools such as SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
Support senior stakeholders through expert management accounting services including budget planning, performance analysis, recommendations, and quality assurance of a wide range of briefs, reports, submissions, and papers.
Coordinate departmental reporting activities, develop and maintain financial tools, systems, and processes, and provide advice to business areas across the department.
