Western Work Force is an Australian owned recruitment company and are a market leader in providing temporary, contract and permanent staffing solutions across various industry sectors.

Our client is a highly regarded Earthworks and Civil/Construction company with projects running Australia wide. They currently have a requirement for an experienced Civil/Construction Manager for one of their Projects based in WA. This position is being offered on a FIFO 2/1 roster from Perth and an immediate start is available.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

* Supervise all activity and detailed earthworks for a construction project.
* Identify and assist in implementing improvements to civil/construction and maintenance processes and techniques to optimise project objectives and targets and report on the outcomes.
* Responsible for overseeing and managing the site crew consisting of operators, all-rounders/TAs, and sub-contractors.
* Supervise, prepare, and organise civil and construction activities.
* Defining project objectives, roles and responsibilities.
* Work closely with Project Manager to ensure all works are scheduled correctly to meet the project timeframes.
* Work closely with the client and communicate effectively on the project developments.
* Identify, report and record incidences as required by the quality management system.
* Carry out regular routine site inspections to identify and rectify risks.
* Work within Policies and Procedures with a strong focus on safety.
* Project progress reports to Senior Management on a regular basis.
* Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
* Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
* Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience required

* Minimum 5 years' Construction Management experience, within the civil/construction/mining industry, including road construction, concrete works, and culverts.
* Knowledge of Civil specifications and construction practices.
* Excellent leadership skills.
* Excellent communicator with strong client management skills.
* Analytical skills – ability to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits and solve complex problems.
* Prepared to complete a pre-employment medical and DAS.
