We are hiring experienced and new to industry electrical tradespeople to join our underground team at Ulan West, a modern, high‐production underground longwall coal mine in the Western Coalfields of NSW.
Competitive salary, $9,000 regional allowance and trade allowance.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate, maintain and troubleshoot underground longwall and associated equipment
* Perform planned and breakdown maintenance to high quality and safety standards
* Follow and contribute to safe work systems, including isolation and lock‐out procedures
* Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors and operators to optimise production and reliability
* Support continuous improvement, training and mentoring of less experienced crew
* Conduct effective maintenance practices and carry out fault finding and diagnostics on complex systems including continuous miners, automated longwall systems, surface and underground conveyors
Qualifications
* Underground coal experience (desirable)
* Relevant trade qualification (Electrician)
* Experience with heavy mobile equipment, underground plant or mining systems desirable
* Strong safety mindset and commitment to secure work practices
* Good communication skills and a team‐first attitude
* Ability to obtain any site‐specific mining certifications and medicals required

Location & Roster
Based at Ulan West, about a 45‐minute drive from Mudgee, NSW. Availability of primary and high schools in the area. State‐of‐the‐art sporting complex, new hospital and healthcare facilities. Lively community with markets, music and festivals. Award‐winning wine region. 3.5 hours to Newcastle and Sydney.
Rosters available include mid‐week day, mid‐week afternoon, mid‐week night, weekend day, weekend nights.
