Aboriginal Mental Health Support Worker
We are seeking a passionate Aboriginal support worker to join our mental health team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Build trusting relationships with clients through shared lived experience and mutual respect
2. Provide emotional support encouragement and practical assistance to individuals
3. Facilitate peer-led groups workshops or activities that promote wellbeing and recovery
4. Assist clients in navigating mental health services housing employment and other supports
5. Advocate for client needs and rights within service systems
6. Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and team meetings
7. Uphold confidentiality boundaries and ethical standards at all times
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent under Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act
* Current drivers license
* Current National Federal Police Certificate and Working with Children Check or ability to obtain
