Remuneration: $85,000 – $100,000 per annum (inclusive of superannuation), commensurate with experience
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Bookkeeper to join our established group of privately owned companies based in Hazelmere.
This is a key role within our finance and administration function, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end bookkeeping and financial administration across multiple related entities. Working within a small internal team, you will provide accurate, timely financial information to Directors and play an integral role in maintaining strong financial governance and operational efficiency.
This position requires a high degree of autonomy, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities within a growing business environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Full end-to-end management of accounts payable and receivable
* Payroll processing and compliance
* BAS preparation and lodgement support
* Monthly reconciliations including bank, creditor and debtor accounts
* Maintenance and integrity of financial records within Xero
* Preparation of monthly management reports for Directors
* Cash flow monitoring and reporting
* Liaison with external accountants and advisors as required
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory obligations
Administration & Operational Support
* Executive support including diary management and meeting coordination
* Preparation and distribution of meeting minutes
* Maintenance of office policies, procedures and registers
* Oversight of filing systems and document management
* Recruitment and onboarding support
* IT coordination across the group
* Procurement of office consumables and general office management
* Occasional travel between offices to facilitate documentation
Marketing & Communications Support
* Preparation of advertisements and related materials
* Assistance with social media coordination and press releases
* Support with marketing collateral and displays
Minimum five years' demonstrated experience using Xero (essential)
* Proven experience in a Senior Bookkeeper or similar role
* Strong BAS and payroll expertise
* Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end bookkeeping processes
* Advanced reconciliation and reporting capability
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Professional written and verbal communication skills
