Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Choice Support Plus Pty Ltd, a Devonport based, family-owned support service that provides person-centred support to participants with disability in the Wynyard, Burnie area and surrounding communities. Our services include learning and life skills to assist the development of independence for people with disability and quality staff to help support participants, whether it be in-home support or community participation.
Responsibilities
As a support worker you will provide person-centred support to participants, assist participants with achieving their goals, deliver learning and life skills, support participants in in-home or community participation, provide personal care if required, and be flexible in your availability. Although the position is casual there is potential for permanent part-time positions for those who demonstrate the capacity and responsibility required.
Qualifications & Skills
Drivers licence, roadworthy vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
First Aid and CPR
Working With Vulnerable People Check – NDIS endorsed
National Police Check (less than 3 years old)
Auslan and/or other sign languages (preferred, but not mandatory)
Preferred Training
Certificate III in Disability (preferred, but not mandatory) and relevant experience in the disability support industry or a strong commitment to pursuing necessary training.
