Gusto Riverfront Restaurant, a leading award-winning restaurant in Noosaville QLD, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef and Chef de Partie to join our accomplished culinary team.
As a Sous Chef and Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers, upholding our commitment to quality and innovation.
This position is available for both Sous Chef and Chef de Partie roles.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation
Preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes, both à la carte and specials, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety and hygiene regulations
Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
Participating in menu development and contributing ideas to enhance our culinary offerings
Ensuring efficient stock control and effective kitchen management
What we're looking for
Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-quality restaurant or hotel environment
Formal culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Exceptional culinary skills, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles and plating
Excellent time management, problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
Passion for using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Valid Australian work visa or unrestricted work rights
