Sales Application Engineer (Rail Industry)

Job Description
1. Provide detailed technical support to various stakeholders including but not limited to HIMA Rail Account Manager, HIMA Engineering team, Program Management team and HIMA clients.
2. Form Rail technical point of contact for HIMA Clients, regional HIMA team with Global HIMA Rail cohort for channeling information both ways effectively in a timely manner.
3. Sales activities involving setting up client meetings, weekly sales planning, client negotiations.
4. Identify market trends and changing circumstances, suggest strategies to meet market trends and increase market share. Monitor competitor activities and propose strategies for success.
5. Development of the client relationship especially with key decision makers at assigned client accounts. Establish network of contacts within assigned region to ensure incremental opportunities are identified and attempted by HIMA to increase win probability.
6. Active participation in marketing activities as directed, contributing to industry network representing HIMA, providing consultation to management in participation, and organizing marketing events to further increase HIMA brand value in the region.
7. Adherence to timely reporting and HIMA policies.
8. Working within the HIMA team and assisting each other towards the larger organisational vision.
Skills and Experience
1. Education: Degree in engineering, automation, business administration or related field.
2. Relevant Professional Experience: 3 to 7 years experiences in Rail Industry specifically for safety applications like Interlocking, Signalling etc.
3. Other Requirements (e.g., special skills, memberships, etc.): Relevant membership as applicable for Australian/NZ rail industry.
