About The Position
This is an opportunity for a Sous Chef or experienced Second Chef to step into a key role within a busy, well-structured kitchen. Working closely with an established Head Chef, you will support day-to-day operations while helping drive consistency and service standards. The role offers a hands-on environment where you will be involved across all sections and play a key part during service. Located in a growing regional area, this is a great chance to enjoy a balanced lifestyle while still working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Position Description
* Work across all sections of the kitchen, supporting daily service
* Assist in running the pass and ensuring smooth, consistent service
* Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations
* Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control standards
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
* Contribute to a positive, team-focused kitchen environment
Position Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a Sous Chef or strong Second Chef role
* Experience working in high-volume bistro, pub, or club environments
* Confident working across all sections and stepping up during service
* Strong communication skills to support a diverse kitchen team
* Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and workflow
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
