We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Assistant Hotel Manager to join our dedicated team at The Westin Brisbane.

**Role Overview**:
As **the Assistant Hotel Manager**, you will be at the forefront of delivering the Westin experience overseeing the guest journey from check-in to check-out, while driving performance, compliance, and team culture. You will manage departmental operations, lead high-performing teams, and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the hotel. You will be guest centric leader leading VIP arrivals, special guest requirements and ensuring all associates are trained to provide recognition, personal attention and professionalism.
**Operations**
- Be the communications lead during emergency or crisis situations
- Represent the hotel within the local community and support sustainability efforts
- Promote a safe and secure environment for guests and associates
- Inspect public areas and rooms to uphold quality and brand standards
- Ensure compliancy is aligned with Marriott Brand expectations
- Manage operations payroll costs
- Support the department budget and forecast process
- Maintain security procedures and work with the Loss Prevention Team
**Leadership**
- Lead, coach, and develop Front Office and Concierge teams to deliver excellent service and achieve performance goals.
- Plan and assign work schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and colleague capability
- Drive culture and employee engagement through recognition, feedback, and development plans
- Support HR-related actions such as recruitment, training, and performance management.

- Ability to work a variety of shifts and flexibility with hours
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in Opera, Birchstreet and Emplive systems

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
